The Problem With Belief

Some people believe that crushed rhino horn can cure a range of illnesses and it is even viewed as an aphrodisiac in Traditional Asian Medicine.  However, the rhino horn is comprised of keratin, the same material as our fingernails and has no medicinal value. If rhino horn proved to have medicinal benefits, it would mean that we too can acquire these effects by biting our fingernails!  Unfortunately, this ill-conceived notion is the reason why rhinos are being hunted to extinction.  Look at what belief can make people do.

If belief can make humans hunt a species to extinction, what can a belief in a God lead to?  Alienation of other groups?  Wars?  Terrorism?  Shunning?  Hatred towards homosexuals?  What else does a belief in a fake God make people do?
